A new isogeometric boundary element method with spline collocation in time
Date:
Best poster award, 2nd place, at the 10th International Workshop on High-Order Finite Element and Isogeometric Methods (HOFEIM2026). Links to the workshop webpage, to the poster, and to an animation of the numerical solution of the homogeneous wave equation around a toy boat from t = 0 to t = 10 with 718 spatial DOFs and 50 timesteps.
The manufactured Neumann boundary condition is given by the time convolution of the fundamental solution with a (causal) sinusoidal signal. Cubic splines are used for both the space and time discretizations. Wave speed c is equal to 1.
